MORE ABOUT METALESQUE FEST: 

Metalesque Fest showcases a wild and creative performance art style that combines burlesque, comedy, aerial arts, drag, circus skills, dance, and adult entertainment with heavy metal music and metal music culture.  Both burlesque dancers and metal genre performers are known for subversive messaging and snubbing their noses at "the status quo".  While "classic" burlesque is a beautiful homage to performances of yesteryear, "Metalesque" is a genre of the neo-burlesque art form that incorporates the rebel style and tunes of the most popular music genre worldwide today---HEAVY METAL! 

 

Metalesque Fest started in 2016 as a small two-day event hosted by local troupe Sign of the Beast Burlesque, who are now credited as the very first as well as the now longest-running (since 2010) all-metal burlesque troupe in the world. Sign of the Beast Burlesque is known as one of the founders of the increasingly popular burlesque style now known as "metalesque". Metalesque Fest now welcomes guests and performers from across the nation and around the world and has grown to become an exciting three-day weekend-long event featuring over thirty performers as well as music from live bands, DJs, an air guitar competition, an awards ceremony, photo booth, and vendors.
